Slave work!!??

Hey, Im an undergraduating student here in brazil I just engaged in a project in my university where I will be developing GUIs among other coding tasks, developing parallel software, etc. I will be paid $3/hour. What you guys think about it, isnt it slave work!? :(

Could this be considered an internship? If so, you should realize that many internships are non-paying. Undergraduates are willing to do them so they can put the experience on their resumes.

Thats right, btw Im trying to make some money on SL, for sure I will not be rich but I guess it wil help me buying some books!! :)
