Spyware Removal tool

Was wondering if you guys know Which is the best Spyware removal tool available around and if anyone had tried it out ? Im having a hard time with Internet Explorer 6 and some spywares/adwares have installed all by themself on IE6 with no means to remove. :confused:

Oh Sanjay, when will you learn... firefox is the way to go man!

Check out download.com for some good free ones. Spybot Search and Destroy is pretty popular. Although you may want to try more than one spyware remover, as one program may likely find stuff the other missed.

i just have win xp sp2 firewall and had no problems so far...
and i`m using mostly opera browser :)

there`s a program, "Startup Control Panel 2.7 by Mike Lin", it displays all apps that are executed on system startup... very usefull...

As previously mentioned, Spybot Search & Destroy is invaluable. It is available from http://www.download.com/

I always use it in conjunction with Adaware 6.0 by Lavasoft. This software, is available as freeware from the same site http://www.download.com/

Other useful programmes are X-Cleaner and Spyware Blaster.

XoftSpy is not a bad one.
I use it for long time already and it never missed a troyan.
Very frequantly upadted database, etc.
My choise.

Please try Spysweeper (www.webroot.com). It was "The Best" detecting and removing spyware when I used IE. And just as Justin mentioned...you can try firefox once your disk is cleaned up. Firefox just makes life easier and helps a good night sleep.

P.S: I use Adware SE by Lavasoft also (its free), I have it now also but it comes nowhere near Spysweeper for cleaning those extremely horrible stuffs.

Yeah! Spybot search & destroy !!!
That`s the words of WISEMAN. This software is the best :rolleyes: Before, when i was using IE that was after NOD32 and Zone alarm my best "friend". Now i use Firefox but from time to time is good to run spyboot.

I got spybot and etrust-PestPatrol and have Norton AV and Firewall running as well but i dont know how this trojan or watever just got through and now though spybot and etrust clean up the stuff they detect, If i ever start Internet Explorer, few exe load with new name each time but same file size . However now im using Firefox and wondering why did'nt i try it before. The tabs are too good and its easy to use except that once in a while i feel it makes pages take too much time to load but i must thank you all for your suggestions :)
