usually 800x600, i change it from time to time to 1024, as some websites require it. I think optimizing a webpage for all resolutions should be one of the designers concerns.

i think this should be in "off topic" forum..

moving there..

I switch from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 all the time to check if the sites look ok on both resolutions :-).

As I work with graphics only, not necessarily intended for web, I am using 1280x1024. If I could, I'd switch to 1600x1200 :D but I'm afraid my machine wouldn't work too fast then and also the refresh rate would be too low.

I use 1024 by 768. Not a designer so it's OK with me.

I'm primarily a c++ programmer; I'm usually working on my laptop (sadly, my fastest computer at the moment) which has a screen res of 1400x1050

1152 x 864 :D

As for optimising web pages for smaller resolutions, there's nice extension for FireFox called WebDeveloper, so I can always check w/o having to change screen resolution...

I use 1024x768. On both computers (Laptop and Desktop). But I'm looking into buying a new TFT 17" - they have a standard of 1280x1024, quite nice if you are a developer. More space to put your code, file/module/class views and all the toolbars :)

I have a widescreen monitor at 1400x900. You can get your work done a lot easier with a larger monitor.

I have 2 displays: wide 1680x1050 + wide 1280x800
You can get your work done a lot easier with more than 1 monitor ;)

1400x1250 in True Color on a beautiful wide-screen laptop running Fedora Core. And yet I still can't fit enough &@$! on the screen...

My screen resolution is not in the poll.
Just got a new 22" widescreen running on 1600x1050. (it's beautiful).
But the width is wider actually, since I have dual view with a 17" on the right hand side. Probably about 2500px or something.
