I received today this email from Perry Marshall.
"I'm very sad to report that an Internet marketing legend has passed from our midst.
Last night Corey Rudl died in a racing accident in San Jose, California. He was killed instantly when his Porsche struck a barrier.
I only met Corey once, in fact it was only a few weeks ago. He came up to me at a seminar and introduced himself. That was an honor, because Corey played a very significant role in my own marketing education, especially in the early years.
His was the first "Internet Marketing" product I ever bought, back in 1998 if memory serves. I learned a lot from his email newsletter, and many practices he pioneered are standard today. He was one of the very first people on the planet to build an affiliate program, and he was the first to apply many offline D[irect] M[arketing] methods to online marketing.
All of us will miss him. I hope you'll take a moment of silence to be thankful for the influence of an industry leader, and to remember the brevity of life. It is precious.
If you would like to send his family or staff your condolences, the address is
1123 Fir Ave
Blaine, WA
98230
Sincerely,
Perry Marshall
