Flash Friends,
First of all those who do not know and thought SWF files were protected...think again. The efforts that you have given in coding the Actionscript can be easily viewed by lot of SWF decompilers out there. The 2 Majors being are Action Script Viewer - ASV http://buraks.com/asv/ and Sothink SWF decompiler http://www.sothink.com/flashdecompiler/index.htm. I personally was quite depressed when I found this, but these tools are actually intended for retrieving your precious code from a SWF file incase you have lost the source files (FLA) for it. They are not meant to steal other's works. With a knife you can cut an apple and at the same time kill someone so it all depends on entirely how you use it. But I admit there are a lot of people out there who are actually misusing these tools to retreive other's codes and use them as their own. So after a lot of searching and researching I found one which actually encrypts the SWF in such a way that when you open a SWF in a decompiler it all looks "hebrew" to you. Complete protection. It is called Flashincrypt http://www.flashincrypt.com/ and defeated both ASV and Sothink SWF Decompiler. Will also suggest interested Flash friends to try it and leave a feedback about it.
