Hello,
I like to dome good designs. I know photoshop and can use it (not very good). I can do simple and even complex design if its a clone. But I am dull in creating something new.how this can be improved, so that I can dream good designs and make them alive.

How you dream good designers?? give some tips.

I usually check out CSS gallery type sites (like http://www.designshack.co.uk) for inspiration when I'm having trouble with ideas.

Of course, I never copy anybodies design, they just help to give me ideas of perhaps how something could be arranged, colour schemes and so on.

there's no way to become great designer if you have no talent for it.
i recall words from teen movie "Bring it on". Missy yelled from the window to the cheerleaders 'shut up! if you don't have it - you don't have it' :)
some art work require not only tech side, but ideas, vision, talent.

it can't be learned from tutorials, i'm hopeless even with 9+ years exp. in design :D

Agree 100%.
Art and design is a talent, not a learned skill. One can always "improve" their ability with it but in order to do it professionally at the highest levels, it requires a certain outlook and skill portfolio that just cannot be 'taught'.

Science dictates that the right brain handles creative function while the left brain handles the analytical. People tend to operate predominantly from one side of the brain or the other. Finding a 'right brained', artistically inclined coder can be hard since coding itself is such a left brained pursuit. Such coders are definitely out there; they're the ones doing absolutely groundbreaking, exceptionally innovative work. Unfortunately, I've found that many coders are almost exclusively left brain oriented, great at executing technical function, but struggle with creative vision and design aspects.

Take basic training in computer graphics. Then practice, practice, practice. Computer design is like music. You have to start young, and practice, practice, and practice more. Use Help, get cliparts and modify them using Bezier curves (pure graphics used in Illustrator and Coreldraw). Photoshop and Corel Photo-Paint are the best for top graphics design.
