Hey deep,
Im Bhavin from Mumbai..
Usually, I withdraw cash using cheques.. However, the cheque takes loads of time to arrive and then the bank charges huge commissions...
Anyway, Im looking at other options like Bank wire which will atleast expedite the process..
Looking forward to hear from other fellow Indians as well..
Regards,
Bhavin
Try xoom.com . Ask your clients with paypal to pay you using this Also you can get coupon codes for your clients to save 50% of the fees. If you want a coupon code. I have one :-) that can be used multiple times :-).
Let me know
hy budy. :)
Yup, first of all, give me the coupen b4 you change your mind. ;)
I will like to know the system and fes for paypal and Xoom thing.
Let me explain:
for now, i use Bank-wire .. thy charge $25 and your get your funds within two days in your bank. For $500-800, its still reasonable, but sometimes i just have withdraw something like 200-300, thn its more than 10%.
now, i have no credit card at present.
Do we need credit card for paypal?
and also, will paypal charge any fee for sending us money at our address.. how they send, DD, cash, or bank transfer?? i mean what is whol scene as ??
& Xoom?
Will be gr8, if you can briefly make m understand.
hope o hear from you. :)
Zynch, can ya PM me the coupon code.. I think I'll try Xoom.. :D

I believe you only need to register a credit card with paypal when and if you buy something with Paypal and dont have enough funds in your account.
They dont let all countries withdraw funds and I don't know if India is one of those that can or not, but if you can then they transfer your funds direct to your bank account, no charge if 'withdrawing' over a fixed amount.
Depending how much you use your paypal account you may have to have a premier or business account which incures charges on all money you receive.

Hi All,
I am Nirmal from Chenai, India running a small team of php/mysql developers.
By Gods grace business is coming up fine. And thanks to Scriptlance for their wonderful service.
Can anyone advice me on how to proceed legally in our country when we are running a small team/company. Do i need to register the company or any other formality ?
It would be great if someone here can let me know details on that.
Thank you !

Hi,
I am based in bangalore. I dont earn big bucks, so i would want to know what withdrawal option is best for small amounts(100$-300$). I read some post saying the bank guys charge a lot of commision on checks. I would like to know how much commision they take.

hi
i am shanoj, bangalore based. do parttime freelancing and do get couple of projects from scriptlance.. the subject of the thread is quite interesting to me and thought i would share my ideas..
AiM: to get the money ,all of us get from our hardwork into our own hands effectively..
REALITY: A 100 percent efficient method is not available at the moment as far as i know
anyway let me share you my thoughts
Paypal-Xoom-cash2india-- cash2india has been recently acquired by xoom corporation. so ineffect both are same..xoom/cash2india accepts paypal as a funding to send money to india.so your webmaster can send payment to you if they can register at these sites..through cash2india the user can be direclty deposit into the recipents bankaccount..but the user has to undergo various verification routines when they first send money to anybody.. but after that, seems its smooth sailing.
negatives-- you need to ask each of your webmasters to signup at the site and also the site take their commision for every transaction.. If you think that you can send money from your paypal account to yourself , then sorry dear, you cant send money to urself from your own paypal account, as it is not permitted --maybe as per RBI rules. so i guess the paypal account shouldnot be of indian orgin..
workaround i think--if you have a friend or relative in the united states. ask them to start a paypal account.. .either you forward all your payments to their paypal account. otherwise if you have a paypal account, when you want to withdraw money.. send the money to his/her account. and they can send to to your bankaccount using cash2india..this will save some of your money on the comission that the site takes,as you send money in a bulk rather than individual transactions
ICICI bank nri services-- almost same logic..if your webmaster(mainly us based guys) can signup for their money2india account.. they can send money directly to your icici bank or other account.. but again.. each webmaster has to signup for this(its quite a long process for all those verification)
similar setup is also available in remit2indiadotcom. but again the hassles of signup..so solution is get ur relative/friend in us to signup for money2india/remit2india and a paypal account. when you want withdraw money from your paypal account, send the money to their paypal. they can withdraw the money to their banks as they are in us.. then they send the same amount to your account using money2india/remit2india..
and always in all the above three services, always ask your webmasters to mention the purpose of payment as "gift".. other wise it maybe a problem as they are really not meant for commercial purposes...
then there is ikobo.com which gives ur a debit card. i heard.initially there maybe some problems but after that its smooth sailing..
and finally western union.. which is the best for fastest delivary..but mostly for big amounts
then countless others, like stormpay, moneybookers(they allow withdraing to indian bank) etc..
but the verybest option to everybody will be a direct bank withdrawal from our own paypal accounts to our indian local bank..Paypal authorities say they are working on this... but i am not sure when this will be practically implemented..But i think, they may start this soon. As ebay(paypal's parent company) have acquired bazee.com, there are strong chances of they starting this facility..lets wait for the good news..
anybody who has been successfully withdrawing funds from their paypal account.. please share their stories... so that we can see what all options are available for us...
cheers

hello zynch, can u provide me a few xoom.com coupon codes, thanks
I dont have some anymore already used. This is what you have to do to get some coupon code,,, try sending money just try, and try to complete the process and stop when you're on the paypal payment,
after a few days, xoom will send you an email that asks you to continue what you have started and they are giving you a coupon code, then use it :)
