Can someone please show me an example of a Flash movie versus a Flash site ?

I have been reading
(I know... dangerous :D )...
that a site built in HTML, with Flash movies placed inside the HTML documents, can have the strong visual impact I need and help with SEO.

My business is all about visual impact! But there seems to be a disconnect between my need to have powerful and visually esthetic images and the programmers/web designers needs...

What is the best approach?

if you want your site optimized for search engines, I wouldnt use Flash, since search engines can't parse flash movies. but if you really want to use Flash, you should place a hidden div into the html containing all the text you used in the flash movies

strong visual impact can be achieved with other technologies than Flash too.
for example - javascript - aneyeforink.com, gucci.com ...

Wow, thanks a lot for the information!

I was very intrigued to find that javascript can offer the necessary vital visual impact we need.

God, but I hate flash sites. If I see another 'loading' bar, I'll crack up...:mad:


Having said that, this is my brother-in-laws site:

With a flash site, you ahve to keep it as simple as possible.

..in my head a flash site , is a site composed only from flash movies (if we consider a swf file flash movie..actualy movie is a hard word here, we can called even flash animation, or ...i like to call it flash object, no matter what's in it)
