I am surprised that 'cheap skates' like 'rron1976' are allowed to post projects here. Is Scriptlance so greedy for money that they don't want to maintain a standard. I guess their greed is more than they know the worth of their own skills. A skilled worker shouldn't have to be degraded by cheap skate webmasters like 'rron1976' who want a lot of work done for little or nothing. Scriptlance should be a place for programmers to offer their services with pride and not be subject to abuse from cheap webmasters. Please try to raise the standards here. I am sure my counterparts from India would love to earn more.

1st. I doubt you are allowed to provide info of users and say such things about them here and who actually didnt do anything wrong anyways.
2nd. Talked a million times before its up to each programmer if he will accept a project or not!
3rd. The standars are made by webmasters and programmers! Not a 3rd person/company/service!

You probably belong to the same group.

Hey, let's keep it friendly in here, ok?

@wizpro: don't bid on/accept projects if the price is too low, then "cheapskates" won't bite you. It's as simple as that.

I agree. While there are some cheapskates here, just ignore them. I know for certain there are a whole lot more webmasters who aren't.

Well this place is an auction to get a project... kind of... a lower price will appeal to the clients... so people starting out usually try offering lower prices to be able to get reviews and compete with the more experience...

All I can say is ignore the projects since it's the client that will be getting low quality >_<

I think ignoring is not the solution. Mainly for new comers, they will have great trouble working with such webmasters. So, better scriptlance make a system where such users can be pro-habiated.

Prices are always decided by market forces. Don't bother bidding on those cheap projects. Remember many webmasters look for professionalism and dedication more than price. Also I know of webmasters who like to discuss projects on phone or in person.

Whenever we get a project invitation from a webmaster looking for cheap, quick and quality work, we say "Cheap, fast and quality", choose any 2, we are not capable of delivering all 3 :-).
