View Full Version : Western Union Withdraw
Hi all,
this is by no means a poll to impose western union withdraw to Scriptlance, which by the way and as stated in the FAQs they re working on it.
This poll is just to see how many programmers would be interested in WU withdraw.
I would have been very much interested if WU withdrawals were legal in India. Unfortunately they aren't :-(
What do you mean by legal?!!!
i m getting confused!

Hope the fee is low compared to other withdrawal or else i just use other method. Since if it's direct to bank i'm afraid it will cause problem to country that must count their taxes from income from abroad, or what it's called ??
Sorry for not being clear in my previous post. Indian regulations restrict the usage of services like WU, Xoom, Remit2India etc for personal use only. They cannot be used for sending business/freelance related payments! WU is fast and secure way of transferring funds!

FYI. All scriptlance withdrawals are not legal and can not be considered as business withdrawals if you don't have signed contract with them.

well ::we:: all have tax issues, for ex: speaking of myself, I do various work for customers even on the homeland, at the end of the tax year, I just declare my revenue fill the forms and send it.
Personally, I would prefer WU, spares me going through e-gold then an exchange broker to send it to myself as all funds being sent to my bank account are recorded and I have to pay for them to the last penny.

WU will be great :)
WU withdrawal option would be useful on condition that it will be processed ASAP. I mean the same day or the next day. Since WU costs more %, I would use this option to withdraw relatively small money, when im running low funds and can't wait for 2 weeks until I get a wire from SL.

Its really nice that some are concern about taxes. In my country I have no problem in getting WU payments. What you just need to do is to give the income tax every year mentioning the amount you earn.
I will be very happy if SL introduce WU.
Regards..
It would be better if SL could do current withdrawals faster (let's say 1 more time a week for paypal and e-gold) instead of doing WU option ;)

Not a bad option, I too would be interested. But only my second option. Wire transfer is more economical, even though slow.

WOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo
I am really agree with this WU !!!!
ill 100% support it :)
:)
has anyone actually though of the fact that the sender of the money has to pay comission?..in this case Scriptlance..have you actually thought of the consequences of this before suggesting this method of withdrawal? WU commissions are outrageous!

I think it would be the Fee for us. So SL might divide the percentage of the fee paid by us programmer. WU also had limit per withdrawal. In my country they limitted to $999.
But if this option exist it's a great option. Since it's fast.
WU is not business transaction. SL will be break the law if will process a WU withdraval. Use WU FAQ to learn for what purpose it was created.
If you have strong attention to receive a WU transfers - ask a client about it. But do not force SL to break a law.
